High Pressure coaxial Valves

Coaxial high-pressure valves are valves with two or three port connections and two switching positions. The pressure range extends from vacuum up to 6000 psi. These valves have a similar design to the directly and externally controlled coaxial valves that are rated to 1500 psi, and also share their technical advantages - low weight and short, compact design. The high-pressure valves are more stable due to their special design features: the wall thicknesses for the valve housing and head tube, the selection of the seals and the retaining screws are specially designed for high pressure applications.

Depending on the type, the high-pressure valves are available either with a magnetic drive or with a pneumatic/hydraulic drive. The nominal orifice sizes range from approx. 0.08" to 2". The flow factor (Cv value) ranges from a few liters to 50 GPM. Depending on the nominal size, the valves are available with port connections that are threaded, flanged or with special designs.

The pneumatically operated valves of Series VK offer significant advantages due to their high switching force for applications involving a high pressure range and high flow rates. Due to their unique coaxial design, most Series VK valves can operate using instrument air pressure as low as 45 psi. Air consumption per stroke is sometimes only 1/10 of the amount needed by valves from well-known competitors. By using co-ax® valves, the consumption of expensive compressor air is minimized so that these valves are particularly energy-efficient. Due to the high switching force, externally controlled valves can be equipped with wiper rings. Also, they are ideally suited for use with abrasive media for high pressure applications.

Switching times can be set as desired using throttles on the pilot valve. Opening and closing can be delayed up to three seconds to prevent hydraulic pressure surges in pipeline systems.

Series KB is typically used in gas filling stations, test benches, compressor and hydraulic systems, and washing machines up to a maximum pressure of 6000 psi. Series KB 15 and KB 20 valves have a special feature - dynamic plastic seals are not required. For this reason, the series can also be used in cryogenic technology (low temperature down to -320°F).

Options

The valves can be optionally equipped with a variety of pilot valves and limit switches, mounting brackets, with various plug connections such as M12x1 DESINA/VDMA, or with special PWM plugs that require lower current.
